Nation observes Kashmir Solidarity Day today
ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) The nation is observing Kashmir Solidarity Day today to express solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiri brethren struggling for their right to self-determination against the Indian occupation forces.
The Ministry of Kashmir Affairs has said in a statement that all arrangements have been made to observe Kashmir Solidarity Day today at home and abroad in a befitting manner.
The ministry in its statement has said that solidarity walks will be organised across the country and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In the federal capital Islamabad, a rally at Constitution Avenue will be organised, and a one-minute silence will also be observed at 9:30 am to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people and pay homage to the martyrs of Kashmir.
Posters and billboards have been displayed around important avenues, airports, and railway stations to highlight the plight of the Kashmiri people.
Debate, declamation contests, and essay writing competitions will also be organised in educational institutions in connection with Kashmir Day.
The state media and private televisions will also broadcast special programmes to express solidarity with the oppressed people of the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K).
