Naseem Shah parts ways with Quetta Gladiators

LAHORE: (Suno News) Pakistan’s fast bowler Naseem Shah has parted ways with Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Quetta Gladiators.

Suno News sources say that fast bowler Naseem Shah has decided to leave Quetta Gladiators due to personal reasons.

It is to be noted here that Naseem Shah became a part of Quetta Gladiators for the first time in 2019.

Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi are keen to take Naseem Shah. The pacer is likely to join Peshawar Zalmi.

It is worth mentioning here that Naseem Shah, the star bowler of the Pakistan cricket team, underwent surgery on his shoulder in England.

After the surgery, doctors advised Naseem Shah to take complete rest. He will be able to start bowling practice after completing rehab.

Naseem Shah suffered a shoulder injury in the match against India in the Asia Cup after which doctors suggested surgery to him.

Due to the injury, the pacer could not represent Pakistan in the ICC Men’s World Cup in India.

It is to be noted here that Babar Azam yesterday resigned from all cricket formats as the captain of the national cricket team.

“Today, I am stepping down as the captain of Pakistan in all formats. It’s a difficult decision, but I feel it is the right time for this call,” he said in a statement on social media platform X.

“I will continue to represent Pakistan as a player in all three formats. I am here to support the new captain and the team with my experience and dedication,” he added.

“I want to express my sincere thanks to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for entrusting me with this significant responsibility,” he stated.
