Investigations reveal young driver chased, harassed women in car before they met accident in Lahore
LAHORE: (Suno News) Investigations into the death of six members of the same family in an accident in Lahore have revealed that the young driver, Afnan, followed the car which met an accident and harassed the women of the family in it.
Hussnain, who was driving the family car, forbade Afnan from following them, but the latter hurled abuses at him in return. The boy also had an argument with the family before they died in the accident.
He continued following the car, carrying women in it. Hussnain accelerated the speed of the car several times so Afnan gave up the chase.
Afnan, however, did not give up the chase and continued harassing the women. Hussnain also stopped the car and scolded Afnan. Hussnain’s father also asked Afnan not to harass women, but he continued hurling threats and abuses at them.
The Punjab government sources say that the accused restarted chasing the family when Hussnain drove forward after scolding.
It was learned that Hussnain’s car fell 70 feet away from the road after being hit by Afnan’s car. All the people in the car died.
After the accident, four people came to rescue the accused but ran away after seeing the anger of the people. Terrorism provisions are being added to the case against him.
It is to be noted here that a video statement of 16-year-old Afnan, the driver who killed six people in a car accident in DHA Lahore, has surfaced.
The accused, in his statement to the police, admitted that the speed of his car was above 100 when the accident took place.
He told the police that he was an eighth-grade student, and it has now been a year since he is driving.
He told the police that he had learned to drive from his cousin, adding that his father and mother forbade him from going, but he stubbornly went.
He further told the police that his car was at 110 speed when suddenly a car came from the front.
