India to face Pakistan in Davis Cup tie after 60 years
ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) After 60 years, Pakistan and India will lock horns against each other at the Davis Cup World Group-1 play-off tie to be staged on the grass courts of Islamabad on February 3 and 4.
The Indian team spearheaded by Ramkumar Ramanathan exuded confidence on the eve of its departure for the contest.
On Sunday, the Indian tennis team reached Pakistan to contest the Davis Cup tie as Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) secretary and other officials welcomed them.
This is the first time since 1964 that the Indian team has landed on Pakistani land to contest in the Davis Cup.
