Imran Khan approaches IHC for bail in NAB cases
ISLAMABAD: (Suno News) Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan on Tuesday filed petitions in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) for bail in the Toshakhana and £190 million corruption cases.
The PTI ex-chairman filed separate bail petitions in the IHC in both cases. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) director general and the investigation officer were made parties in the petitions.
It was stated in the petitions that bail be granted until the completion of trial and final judgement.
“Cases against me are based on malice and political revenge,” Imran Khan said in his petitions and added that former NAB chairman Aftab Sultan had refused to file political cases despite pressure.
It is to be noted here that the accountability court rejected Imran Khan’s bail in both cases after his arrest.
