Imran asks PTI candidates to speed up electioneering
RAWALPINDI: (Suno News) PTI founder Imran Khan has asked his party leaders especially the ticket holders to speed up election campaign in their respective constituencies otherwise they will be deprived of his party’s support.
Talking to the media in Adiala Jail, Imran Khan said that he had already requested the Chief Justice of Pakistan to conduct an inquiry into the cipher issue. “After cipher, our party members began to leave the party. Many party leaders, including Raja Riaz, were found visiting the US Embassy,” he said. It was also revealed in an Intelligence Bureau (IB) report, he said.
To a question about cases launched against PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif and the PTI chief, he said that there was a difference between mine and Nawaz Sharif’s cases. He detailed “Nawaz Sharif and Maryam were disqualified while Shahbaz Sharif got full support.
Regarding the election campaign of the PML-N, he said no one was coming to their political meetings because the people, what he added, were afraid that they would run away from the general elections as they had run away from the elections in October too. The election should be held on February 8 at all costs, he demanded.
Talking about his incarceration, he said that also senior politician Makhdoom Javed Hashmi had been in jail. He said that former PML-N leader Chaudhry Nisar was his 50-year-old friend. Imran said that he had invited Nisar to join PTI in April 2018. “This is a freedom movement. They want to enslave us. In the freedom movement, I consider being in jail as worship,” he concluded.
