IHC summons PM Kakar in missing persons case
ISLAMABAD: (Suno News) The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday summoned Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar at the next hearing of a case related to the recovery of missing persons.
IHC Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani heard the case. Imaan Mazari Advocate appeared in the court on behalf of the petitioner.
“Those who are involved in these cases should be hanged. Usually, there is a single execution, but those involved in these cases should be hanged twice,” the IHC judge remarked.
“For now, I summon the caretaker prime minister, and then I will also summon the elected prime minister [in the case],” he stated.
The advocate general told the court, “We need more time in this case.”
In his reply, Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani hinted at summoning the director generals (DGs) of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Military Intelligence (MI). “It is a favour from me that I am not summoning the two DGs.”
The court summoned the caretaker prime minister on Monday and adjourned the case.
