‘Swear by Kalima I wasn’t tortured,’ says Sheikh Rashid
ISLAMABAD: (Suno News) Awami Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Sheikh Rashid Wednesday said, “I swear by Kalima that I was not tortured. I thank everyone who helped unlock my house.”
While talking to the media outside the Supreme Court, he said, “I forgive everyone. I forgive the police and all the people.”
He added, “I was not tortured at all where I was kept. People on social media are fond of creating fake news.”
It is to be noted here that Sheikh Rashid had been quoted on social media as saying that he was tortured where he was kept.
On the other hand, a three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa heard the Faizabad sit-in implementation case in the Supreme Court.
Justice Aminuddin Khan and Justice Athar Minallah were part of the bench. Sheikh Rashid also appeared on the court notice.
