The rib fractures have been revealed in the x-ray report. Doctors have advised the former chief minister to rest for two weeks.

As per medical experts, rib fractures occur when a significant enough force directed at the rib causes a break. Rib fractures are often associated with other injuries and the greater the number of rib fractures the more likely are associated injuries. Rib fractures can occur at any age, but older people are at higher risk because of osteoporosis.

The former CM’s medical report also shows an injury mark on the left side of his head due to the fall. He also got injuries on his forehead, near his left eye and left arm. The right side of his chest is swollen while his left knee was also injured after falling in the washroom. Pervaiz Elahi’s x-rays were taken in jail while the check-up was done by senior doctors of PIMS and Benazir Bhutto Hospital Rawalpindi.

The medical report said that the team of senior doctors included a general surgeon, a cardiologist and an orthopedic specialist. In the medical report, doctors have advised him to rest for two weeks. Superintendent Adiala Jail has submitted the medical report to an anti-terrorism court in Islamabad.

Earlier, the Adiala Jail Superintendent told the anti-corruption court that Pervaiz Elahi has suffered a fracture after falling in the washroom of prison.

The jail officer stated this in a report submitted before the court in the case of illegal recruitments in the Punjab Assembly. The case was heard by Judge Arshad Hussain Bhutta. The report of the Jail Superintendent said that Chaudhry Pervaiz Elah fell in the washroom of the jail on March 17, 2024.
