(Web Desk): Former federal minister Khawaja Saad Rafique was rushed to Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) after suffering a heart attack and underwent a stent procedure.

According to reports, he was shifted to the Punjab Institute of Cardiology where doctors performed surgery and placed a stent in one of his arteries. Medical officials confirmed that Khawaja Saad Rafique received one stent and his condition is now stable. Timely treatment helped control the situation effectively.

On social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Khawaja Saad Rafique wrote, “On the night of February 16, I suddenly felt heart discomfort and my heartbeat became unusually fast. Due to a heart condition, I had to visit Punjab Institute of Cardiology. Doctors performed angioplasty and placed a stent in my artery. I have now been discharged from the hospital and am fine. Friends and well-wishers, please do not worry.”

He also expressed gratitude, saying, “I am thankful to everyone for their prayers and kind wishes.”

It is worth noting that last year in June, Khawaja Saad Rafique was also admitted to PIC after experiencing a rapid heartbeat. At that time, various tests including an ECG were conducted, and as results were normal, he was discharged with advice to rest.
