Following constant criticism, PML-N unveils 11th-hour manifesto
ISLAMABAD: (Suno News) Following continuous criticism from his political opponents, PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif on Saturday launched his party’s election manifesto at a time when the forthcoming general elections are less than two weeks away.
After launching the manifesto, the former prime minister hoped that the people would read the PML-N manifesto. Addressing a party gathering in Lahore, Nawaz added that his party’s manifesto had been finalised with great efforts. He pledged to fully implemented the manifesto if his party voted to power.
He termed the national economy the most important aspect of the manifesto. He said that it was a strange coincidence that he had been ousted as the prime minister in 2017 even then the PML-N leaders were once again preparing to contest elections and presenting their manifesto.
He said that he neither intended to express his grievances nor was he in a mood to complain today.
Criticising PTI founder Imran Khan in an indirect reference, Nawaz said, “If I was there in the previous government instead of the person who you saw, I would have never done what he did.”
The political party pledged to provide the people with cheap and increased electricity as well as speedy development, if voted to power. The party’s promises include a 15,000 megawatt-increase in power production, a 20 to 30 per cent decrease in electricity bills and a 10,000MW production of solar energy.
