Speaking in an interview with a private TV channel, Noorain Aslam said Rehman Dakait was deliberately turned into a symbol of fear, while the reality was completely different. She said Chaudhry Aslam treated Rehman Dakait like his own child and never considered him a major criminal or a don.
She added that the situation in Lyari and the people linked to it were shown in a one sided manner. According to her, this selective portrayal has hidden many important facts and confused the public about ground realities.

Earlier, Noorain Aslam strongly criticised Indian films. She said such movies promote anti Pakistan sentiment and wrongly present Pakistani heroes in a limited and controversial way. She said films should have focused on terrorist groups instead of narrowing the story to Lyari and Chaudhry Aslam.
Noorain Aslam said her husband’s role was not limited to Lyari alone. She said Chaudhry Aslam carried out major operations for the country. She announced that she plans to make a film or drama on her husband’s life so the real facts can reach the public.
