Hania Aamir shared her statement through Instagram Stories after her name surfaced in online discussions linked to the Umer Mukhtar harassment case.

She said she had no knowledge or involvement in the matter and rejected any behavior that threatens women’s safety.

“I hold a zero-tolerance stance toward harassment, exploitation, and any conduct that compromises the safety and dignity of women and girls,” Hania Aamir stated, adding that such issues must always be treated seriously and with respect.

She further explained that she had deliberately distanced herself from the individual involved in the Umer Mukhtar harassment case, stressing that any assumed association should not be viewed as support for another person’s actions.

Background

The controversy began when Pakistani model Mahnoor Rahim accused TV producer Umer Mukhtar of sending inappropriate late-night messages, including to underage users. Mahnoor Rahim shared screenshots and said the messages crossed personal boundaries.

Mahnoor Rahim also criticized Hania Aamir for remaining publicly associated with the producer, saying it weakened advocacy for women’s safety. She claimed she reached out privately but received no response.

Responding to the claims, Hania Aamir clarified that screenshots attributed to her were false. She reaffirmed her stance against harassment and urged people to verify facts before spreading accusations related to the Umer Mukhtar harassment case.

She concluded by saying that everyone has a shared responsibility to challenge harmful behavior and support women who speak up, ensuring safer spaces across all communities.
