Recently, actress Mehwish Hayat gave an interview to a foreign magazine in which she openly discussed various topics related to her career and personal life.

Talking about her showbiz career and future priorities, Mehwish said that she intends to try directing in the next few years. She carefully observes the work of directors on drama sets to benefit herself in the future.

Regarding criticism about actresses’ ages in the industry, she said that in our industry it is common for even older male actors to be shown alongside much younger and new actresses, but restrictions are imposed on women. People want actresses’ age to stop progressing.

Mehwish said that aging is a natural process; no one can stop their age. It is beyond understanding why actresses’ age becomes a topic of controversy. Instead of recognizing their hard work and talent, people focus on their age.

The actress added that those who criticize actresses’ ages should remember that they too will have to go through the same process. Therefore, it is not fair to have unrealistic expectations from female actresses.

Answering a question about marriage and romance, Mehwish said that she is not very romantic but does like romance. She believes in realism and will marry someone she trusts and who gives her peace.

She said marriage is a gamble, so she will not decide in haste. She will marry someone who supports her.
