ISLAMABAD (Suno News): The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has included prominent Pakistani singer and human rights activist Hadiq Kiani’s name in its list of '100 Women for 2024'.

Every year, BBC issues the list of powerful women who render extraordinary contribution to various sectors. This year’s list includes distinguished women from politics, entertainment, legal fraternity, sports, and other fields.

This year’s list, recognising the contribution of prominent women, includes women from United Kingdom, United States of America, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Afghanistan and other countries.

Hadiqa Kiani, internationally renowned Pakistani singer and songwriter, who rose to fame in the 1990s, has long been honoured for her humanitarian efforts, particularly her work in response to the devastating 2022 floods in Pakistan.

Kiani provided aid to flood victims in Balochistan and South Punjab through initiating Vaseela-e-Raah project. She has also been an advocate for displaced families, urging the public to contribute to relief efforts.

BBC regarded Kiani’s noticeable contributions, saying these are being acknowledged across the world.

The list, published by BBC, also featured women who have gone through immense challenges, due to the ongoing conflicts in Gaza, Ukraine, Sudan, and other parts of the world.
