CM announces 3,300 plots for journalists
LAHORE: (Suno News) Punjab caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced to allocate as many as 3,300 plots to journalists under the Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA).
“My one-year tenure is coming to an end. Wherever I went in Punjab, journalists asked me about allotment of plots. After consultation over the past few months, it has been decided that 2,300 plots of 7 marlas and 1,000 plots of 3 marlas will be allotted to journalists.”
The CM said that reporters would be qualified for 7 marla and cameramen for 3 marla plots. Plots will be given on a 200-acre land. All journalists can apply by January 28, and balloting will before February 8, he added.
He said, “Every journalist will be able to build a house. The Bank of Punjab will also make an agreement for the allotment. Your plots are ready, the scheme is ready.”
He said that there would be a week to collect the forms from journalists. Efforts were being made to include working journalists in the scheme. However, those who have already been allotted plots will not be considered, he concluded.
