
According to sources, the price of petrol is likely to increase by Rs6.60 per liter and the price of diesel by Rs5.27 per liter for the next 15 days.
After a 2.5 percent increase in the price of petrol, the new price is expected to be Rs273.39 per liter, while the new price of diesel is expected to be Rs278.25 per liter with a 1.9 percent increase in the price.

The main reasons for this change are fluctuations in the exchange rate and Petroleum Levy, however, the price of kerosene oil is expected to decrease by Rs3.74 per liter and the price of light diesel oil by Rs2.23.
The prices of petroleum products have increased further in the international market after US President Donald Trump announced that he would tighten trade sanctions on Russia if it did not stop its war against Ukraine.
Crude oil prices have exceeded $71 per barrel, and if Russia does not stop the war on Ukraine, the prices of petroleum products will increase further, which will hurt the most an import-dependent country like Pakistan.
