Real estate also remained popular, particularly in prime areas like DHA Karachi and DHA Lahore. Commercial plot prices rose 18% and residential plots increased 15%. House prices grew by an average of 8%, showing steady demand.

Among government-backed investment options, the Naya Pakistan PKR Certificate offered 22% returns, while the US Dollar Certificate returned 10%. Returns on the US dollar were modest at 3–4% as the rupee stayed relatively stable. Cryptocurrency investments, which are not officially allowed, recorded a negative return of –4% due to global volatility and local restrictions.

The report highlights that despite economic challenges, gold and equities attracted investors seeking higher yields, while real estate and government securities remained reliable for those prioritizing safety. Double-digit returns on Special Saving Certificates and PIBs were particularly notable.

Overall, 2025 was a year of strong gains for Pakistani investors, with gold and stock market investments leading the way, and other asset classes providing stable returns.
