KARACHI (Web Desk): The Pakistani Rupee has showed a slight improvement against the US Dollar, gaining 01 paisa in interbank trading and closing at Rs280.16.

The local currency had ended the previous session at Rs280.17, reflecting a largely stable trend in the foreign exchange market.

According to the Forex Association of Pakistan, the Dollar was bought at Rs281 and sold at Rs283 in the open market, indicating steady demand.

Meanwhile, the Euro strengthened by 14 paisa to close at Rs329.84, compared to its previous close of Rs329.70, as per data from the State Bank of Pakistan.

The Japanese Yen remained unchanged at Rs1.79, showing no movement during the session.

The British Pound saw a modest rise of 11 paisa, closing at Rs377.71 against its earlier level of Rs377.60.

Among Gulf currencies, the Emirates Dirham slipped by 01 paisa to settle at Rs76.27, while the Saudi Riyal remained stable at Rs74.69.

The Rupee remains largely stable. Minor changes show balanced demand and supply. Foreign currencies moved in mixed directions. Overall market sentiment appears calm and controlled.
