The price of 24-karat gold decreased by Rs2,500 per tola and was sold at Rs456,962 compared to Rs459,462 in the previous session, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also declined by Rs2,143 to Rs391,771 from Rs393,914. Meanwhile, 10 grams of 22-karat gold dropped by Rs1,964 to Rs359,136 from Rs361,100.
In the international market, gold prices fell by $25 to $4,346 per ounce from $4,371, showing continued pressure from global trends.

Silver prices also moved downward. The price of silver per tola decreased by Rs212 to Rs7,718, while 10 grams of silver went down by Rs182 to Rs6,616. International silver prices dropped by $2.12 to $72.43 per ounce.
The fall in gold prices suggests weaker demand and global market pressure. Buyers may wait for further drops. Traders remain cautious as prices stay unstable.
