LAHORE (Web Desk): Yamaha and Unique have led the surge in motorcycle prices in Pakistan, putting additional financial pressure on buyers.

The increase follows the new tax measures that were introduced in the federal budget for 2025-26. The updated prices have been effective since July 1, 2025.

The prices of all Yamaha motorcycle models have been revised by Yamaha Motor Pakistan due to the government-imposed New Energy Vehicle (NEV) levy and other tax changes.

Some of the new prices are:

YB125Z (Red/Black) is now priced at PKR 429,000, which includes PKR 65,441 sales tax and PKR 4,057 NEV levy.

YB125Z DX (Red/Black/Grey) is set at PKR 459,500.

       YBR125 (Red/Grey/Black) is available for PKR 471,500.

The sturdy YBR125G Black version now costs PKR 490,500, while the Matte Finish version, the most expensive in Yamaha’s lineup, is priced at PKR 493,500.

From July 18, 2025, Unique Motorcycle Company also announced price hikes. Up to PKR 3,000 in price has been increased for all models in the UD-70cc series.

The updated prices include:

Basic UD-70cc now priced at PKR 121,500.

UD-70cc Extreme Plus at PKR 125,000.

Special Edition available for PKR 128,500.

Extreme Plus with alloy rims at PKR 135,000.

The Self-start version, now the most expensive in Unique’s lineup, is priced at PKR 147,000.

These price increases are a direct result of higher taxes and the introduction of the New Energy Vehicle levy in the recent budget, adding an extra financial burden on consumers already navigating a challenging economic environment.
