
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold decreased by Rs2,144, now standing at Rs349,603 against Rs351,747.
The rate of 10 grams of 22 karat gold also fell by Rs1,965, reaching Rs320,481 compared to Rs322,446 from the previous trading session.
International markets followed the same trend, with gold losing $25 to settle at $3,865 per ounce, down from $3,890.
Silver, however, showed a different picture. The price of 24 karat silver per tola rose by Rs13 to Rs4,839, while 10 grams of silver increased by Rs11, trading at Rs4,148.

In the international market, silver recorded a slight rise of $0.13, moving to $47.40 per ounce.
Gold is losing ground both locally and internationally, surprising investors with a sharp drop. At the same time, silver is quietly moving up. This opposite trend has left traders guessing about where the precious metals market is heading next.
