
The Ministry of Finance has issued an official notification of the new prices, which came into effect at midnight.
According to the details, the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs2 per litre, bringing the new price down to Rs252.63 per litre. Similarly, high-speed diesel has also seen a reduction of Rs2 per litre, with the new price set at Rs256.64 per litre.

The move has been welcomed by the public, as the reduction in fuel prices is expected to positively impact transportation, agriculture, and other key sectors amidst the ongoing inflation.
The economic experts say that if this trend continues, further reductions could be expected in the coming days.
However, it should be noted that the final decision on any price adjustments is made by the Ministry of Finance based on recommendations from OGRA.
Meanwhile, citizens have described the move as a positive step and expressed hope that it will provide some much-needed relief.
