ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): Gold prices in Pakistan have once again witnessed a sharp jump, pushing the precious metal to a new peak and leaving ordinary buyers stunned.

According to the All Sindh Sarafa Association, the local market recorded a massive surge as the price of gold per tola jumped by Rs4,100, reaching Rs359,800.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs3,515, setting the new rate at Rs308,470.

Economic experts say that recent global uncertainty, combined with the weakness of other currencies against the dollar, has boosted gold demand. This international pressure is now being reflected in the Pakistani market.

Meanwhile, international gold prices also spiked sharply, with rates climbing by 41 dollars per ounce to hit 3,371 dollars, once again drawing strong attention from global traders and investors.

This consistent rise in both global and local markets is troubling ordinary consumers but is simultaneously creating a new wave of investment interest in gold. If this trend continues, prices may rise even higher in the coming days.

The persistent surge in gold prices has created a double-edged scenario in Pakistan. On one side, ordinary buyers, particularly families preparing for weddings or jewelry purchases, are facing mounting financial challenges. On the other, investors see this as a lucrative safe-haven asset amid global uncertainty.

The rise is largely attributed to the weakening of major currencies against the dollar and fears of global economic instability. These factors have reignited demand for gold worldwide, directly impacting Pakistan’s local market.

If the upward momentum continues, consumers may find themselves priced out of the gold market altogether, while investors could reap significant benefits. In the coming days, the question remains: will this golden wave slow down, or is another price shock waiting to strike?
