Saudi Arabia eases visa rules, eying 2.7m Pakistani visitors in 2024

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) Aiming to welcome 2.7 million Pakistani visitors in 2024, Saudi Arabia has eased visa requirements for Pakistani tourists with immediate effect.

 Thus, the Kingdom is making it easier for Pakistani travelers to obtain a visa before traveling through one of six Tasheer offices established across Pakistan in Peshawar, Quetta, Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, and Multan.

These offices offer a convenient and user-friendly experience, including visa application guidance, biometric enrollment, status tracking, and passport delivery. Travelers can schedule an appointment on the Tasheer website before their visit.

The applicants are required to submit a bank statement showing a minimum monthly credit amount of USD 750 or its equivalent.

Moreover, Saudi Arabia has introduced the transit visa which is available for travelers arriving in Saudi via Saudia and Flynas, where they can transit and explore Saudi for up to 96 hours. Visa on arrival is available for those travelers who hold a valid and used UK, US or Schengen visa.

The new visa policy will encourage more Pakistani travelers to not only visit their friends and family and perform Umra but will also encourage them to explore Saudi tourists spots.

The Saudi Arabia Tourist Visa allows Pakistani passport holders to enter the country for tourism purposes. This travel document is a result of the Saudi government’s dedication to promoting tourism and welcoming visitors worldwide.

Pakistani nationals are required to get a visa to visit Saudi Arabia. In the past, securing a visa for Saudi Arabia posed challenges, mainly limited to business, religious, or family visit purposes.
