Eligibility and Conditions
Pakistani citizens are eligible since Pakistan is not part of the European Union or the European Economic Area. The minimum age to apply is 18.
Applicants must prove they work remotely for clients or companies outside Greece, as local employment is not allowed. The minimum monthly income requirement is 3,500 euros (around Rs1,050,000). If you bring your spouse, you must show an additional 700 euros (20%), and for each child, another 525 euros (15%). Private health insurance and a clean criminal record are also mandatory.
Documents Required
Applicants must submit translated and apostilled documents in English or Greek, including:
Application form and valid passport
Two biometric photos
Proof of remote work (contract or business registration)
Bank statements or payslips from the past 3–6 months
Health insurance with at least 30,000 euros coverage
Police/NADRA criminal record certificate
Proof of accommodation in Greece
A declaration stating you will not work for a Greek company
Application Process
The process is relatively simple and takes about 10–30 days. After preparing documents, applicants must book an appointment at the Greek Embassy or VFS Global in Islamabad. The fee is 75 euros (around Rs22,500) per person. Once approved, a type D visa is issued within 10 days to one month. Upon arrival in Greece, you must register for a residence card within 30 days.
Costs
The visa fee is 75 euros, while for family members it is 150 euros each. Adding health insurance, translations, and apostille expenses, the total cost is estimated between Rs60,000 and Rs150,000.
