Blue World signs historic $1 billion deal, to host Pakistan’s first 'China Mall'

BEIJING (Web Desk): A new era of Chinese investment in Pakistan has started as Blue World City signed an unprecedented $1 billion agreement with a Chinese company, marking a historic milestone.

The deal was finalized during the second Business-to-Business Investment Forum in Beijing, attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal, and China’s Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong.

Under this landmark deal, Blue World City will be transformed into a major industrial hub. A spectacular ‘Dragon Mall’ is also planned within the project, envisioned as the first-ever China Mall in Pakistan.

Blue World City Chairman Saad Nazir, the company’s CEO, and Parliamentary Secretary Chaudhry Naeem Ijaz signed the agreement with the Chinese firm’s management. Officials confirmed that the structure for Dragon Mall is already prepared and will house sales and display centers for multiple Chinese companies.

This will be the first time all major Chinese enterprises operate under one roof in Pakistan, making Blue World City a central hub for Chinese trade and investment activities.

Officials believe this collaboration will not only attract foreign investment but also strengthen Pakistan–China economic ties, opening new doors for industrial and commercial growth.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Saad Nazir expressed gratitude to the Chinese government, noting that Pakistan’s leadership is actively encouraging Chinese investments. He declared this project a “game changer” for Pakistan’s economy and future development.

This $1 billion partnership signals more than just real estate development — it reflects the deepening strategic and economic cooperation between Pakistan and China. By turning Blue World City into an industrial hub and launching Dragon Mall, Pakistan is positioning itself as a key destination for Chinese enterprises.

For local businesses, this could mean access to advanced Chinese products and stronger trade networks. For the economy, it may create new jobs, boost industrial output, and attract global attention. The real question remains.
