Additional taxes were imposed on engine-powered vehicles under the “New Energy Vehicle (NEV)” levy introduced in the Federal Budget 2025‑26. This move by Suzuki comes in response to the new levy imposed by the government.

• GD110S: ₨362,600
• GS150: ₨392,900
• GSX125: ₨504,900

Exemptions Under the NEV Tax Policy
While the NEV (New Energy Vehicle) levy applies to all engine-powered vehicles, from basic bikes to luxury SUVs, there are several important exemptions:
Electric and hybrid vehicles, vehicles destined for export, diplomatic mission vehicles and vehicles used by international organisations enjoying diplomatic immunity.
Experts say that as conventional motorcycles become more expensive, consumers may increasingly turn to electric or hybrid alternatives. This shift could pave the way for sustainable transportation options and become a huge relief for price-conscious consumers. Industry analysts suggest that Suzuki’s price adjustment might prompt other manufacturers to respond similarly in order to align with the new tax regime
