(Web Desk) The federal government’s decision to impose additional taxes on cars in the 2025–26 budget has led to a significant price hike by a well-known Chinese auto manufacturer.

According to details, a 2% Federal Excise Duty (FED) has been slapped on vehicles with engines ranging from 1,300cc to 1,800cc, pushing up the prices of popular Haval models including Jolion, H6, and H9.

New Prices for Haval Vehicles:

Haval Jolion 1.5T Petrol: Now priced at Rs8,108,000

Haval Jolion HEV Hybrid: Now available for Rs9,481,900

Haval H6 1.5T Petrol: Price raised to Rs9,280,980

Haval H6 HEV Hybrid: Reaches a new high at Rs11,984,980

Haval H9 Diesel: Sees the biggest jump, now ranging between Rs15,300,000 and Rs18,360,000

Car dealers say these budgetary measures have further strained an already fragile auto market. With ongoing import restrictions, rising inflation, and volatile currency exchange rates, Pakistan’s automotive industry is facing mounting challenges.

They warned that continued pressure from such policy changes could slow down consumer demand and further dampen the market’s recovery.
