Prime Minister Sharif presided over a review meeting on the affairs of the Power Division, where he directed the Power Division, Water Resources Division, and Petroleum Division to further improve coordination for a comprehensive strategy in the energy sector.

The Prime Minister instructed the authorities concerned to address all public complaints regarding the Solarization Policy, based on facts and figures, stating that promoting renewable energy remains the government s priority.

He asserted that there had been no change in the government s policy and priorities regarding solar energy.

He also directed to expedite the privatization process of electricity distribution companies and to resolve all legal and other matters regarding the liquidation of generation companies as soon as possible.

The Prime Minister further stated that a comprehensive and effective strategy is being developed to reduce electricity rates, and an announcement will be made soon.

He added that reforms in the power sector will provide further relief to the public by lowering electricity prices.
