Aleem Khan backs PTI’s ‘bat’ demand
LAHORE: (Suno News) Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) President Abdul Aleem Khan has said that Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) should not be deprived of its symbol ‘bat’.
Talking to media persons during his visit to Data Darbar Shrine, Aleem Khan said that he was going to commence his electioneering by visiting the shrine of great Sufi Saint Hazrat Ali Hajveri. He prayed for the country and the nation.
He added that his party had nominated around 50 candidates to contest the general elections in Punjab. He hoped that maximum number of his candidates would win the elections and become members of national and provincial assemblies.
To a question, Aleem Khan said that it was not appropriate to take away the bat symbol from the PTI. “I personally am not in favor of it.” However, he added, the courts had to be convinced by fulfilling all the legal requirements to get relief. Without completing legal requirements, relief could not be taken from the courts, he said.
He said that the poor were living a hand-to-mouth existence in the country and they their financial conditions were worsening with the passage of time. he said that his party’s agenda was to improve the living standard of the people across the country.
