167 new dengue cases reported in Punjab

LAHORE: (Suno News) 167 new cases of dengue have been reported in Punjab during the last 24 hours.

Punjab Health Secretary Ali Jan Khan said, “11,355 confirmed cases of dengue have been reported in 36 districts of Punjab this year.”

4,943 cases of dengue were reported in Lahore this year, whereas, 75 new cases of dengue were reported in the city last day.

2,461 cases of dengue were reported in Rawalpindi this year while the number of dengue cases reported in the city last day was 11.

1,130 cases of dengue were reported in Multan this year, whereas, 20 new dengue cases were reported in Multan last day.

A total of 1,079 dengue cases were reported in Gujranwala this year; 36 new dengue cases were reported in Gujranwala last day.

A total of 571 dengue patients were reported in Faisalabad this year; 14 new dengue cases were reported in Faisalabad last day.

Similarly, three new cases of dengue were reported in Sheikhupura during the last 24 hours.

Moreover, two new cases of dengue were reported in Attock, Muzaffargarh, and Khanewal last day.

Furthermore, one new case of dengue was reported in Sahiwal and Rahim Yar Khan during the last 24 hours.

A total of 145 dengue patients are currently under treatment in hospitals across Punjab, health sources said.

A total of 87 dengue patients are currently under treatment in Lahore hospitals, they added.

Citizens are advised to keep their environment clean and dry to avoid dengue.
